this is ironic for me for several reasons. one being that I live in a country where I can't get yarn other than poorly spun itchy wool in four atrocious colors (and even those are WAY expensive). and two being that even when I get back to the States I'm going to be poor, so I'll still be knitting/crocheting/tunisian crocheting from what I've got. Thank god my mom sent me a yarny care package that I am still working through!!! I've still got plenty of simply soft (soft enough for scarf making!), cotton, and cheap-o acrylic and hardware string (for messenger bags and other items requiring sturdy construction rather than soft touchability).
no sock yarn...but I have been wondering recently if I could separate the four-ply cotton yarn into two two-ply strands? does that work?
