rough start

the new year is off to a rough start for me. but I think the positive might be about to outweigh the negative by leaps and bounds...and that makes me feel like maybe everything culminates in this (Rick said that last night, and although I didn't sleep much, I did dream about that phrase - everything's been leading up to this, maybe - at least for us). like all the trials were worth it, because now's the time to step up our game and get real about this whole life thing.

in other news: please send positive vibes to the other jessica, now a widowed mother probably in need of a few good thoughts these days. and send your vibes also to sean's mother, who just might need them more.

and in better news: I got an offer letter from the lab I interviewed with on Thursday, and I am super excited to get my hands back into the goo.

the knitting is going well (have some fingerless mitts on the needles as well as a garter stitch scarf that's about 30% finished), and this morning has been an inspired whirlwind of getting all the chores done *and* walking the dog miles and miles.

tonight is another band practice, since the show is in a week, exactly (have I mentioned this yet???)...yikes. ok: KnightFall's first show is going to be at the Lonestar Bar in Lemon Valley on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008. 21+/Free. please see their page (linked above) for more details. I think Rick is coming over tonight with recording equipment just to see how compatible everything is. wheee!!!!!!
