have been reading the archive of the yarn harlot's blog. am up to May, 2005 (I think?).
anyway. she mentioned that she measures time and distance in knitting. which made me think: part of why I love knitting, other than that it satisfies the part of my brain that likes to do math without actually needing to do any math on paper, is that knitting is a vector, with both a magnitude of time and distance measured in yarn, stitches, rows, inches, etc (rather than scalar).
I like that.
