If you're the dude, and you're going to order for the girl (which I have no problem with if you know what she likes)...don't talk to the waiter like she's not even there. Say 'we'll have the soandso' or whatever. But don't loudly declare 'she wants the whatever' like she's not sitting a foot away. Makes her look weak and incapable of voicing her own desires. At least, that's how I would feel if it were me over there...and then I'd be pissed.
