last night was like a retrospective on the last decade of zephyr life. it was a pleasure and a privilege to see everyone. marianne is one of the few dead people I know that I still think of regularly, and miss a little bit all the time. she taught me about smart as sexy, and is the first time in my adult life I really remember that setting in and sticking.
other things: my arm is sore. like, a lot. I think aaron may have been right when he said this was the most tattooing I've ever had done in one sitting, as far as sheer acreage goes. almost the entire background (like, with only the exception of a bit of the back of my forearm) has had a once over of purple cotton candy...the technique is a three stack of needles run super lightly over an area until fluffiness is achieved...like the largest brush on the "spray can" setting in paint. so every "once" over is more like six or seven times over.

and, since I heard someone asked (Hi Eric!!): yes, I ordered more button parts and they are totally here. I need to buy a printer. but until then, am taking digital or hardcopy orders anyway...if you're interested in 1.25" pins, email me and we can talk samples and quotes and designs and colors.
