Step one is to punch a design into the cardstock ~ I wrap a rubberband around a pushpin and have at it. These are like guideholes, to help prevent creasing the stock when the actual sewing commences
(shoving a sewing needle through heavy cardstock repeatedly is not as easy as it sounds)
