Rougher than Merino and Polwarth, softer than Texel and Swalesdale.
Thinking of a striped outer garment made of this and swalesdale...but not sure yet...spun the swalesdale two-ply right after I got the wheel, but want to spin mostly 3-plys from now on (they're just nicer all round).
