Been doing the Island Thrift thing for the past few days - but today I think I am going to stay in (for the morning at least) and get some housework done. There's about a week's worth of dirty dishes that Tom didn't get around to during the break, and I need to do laundry and sweep/swiffer the house.
Besides the chores, I am also hoping to get some more done on the do-over rightside tabi sock. I am just passed the gussets and into the straightaway foot construction, so I should be able to make some pretty significant progress there (the left one had fit perfectly, so I am just copying the alterations to the pattern I made for that one).
Things here are good - I know it's Labor Day back in the States, so we'll wait until tomorrow for the fedex to NY to be delivered (and check in to see what my airline ticket credit is worth and when I can fly outta here). When I know that date for sure, there's a ton of stuff I'll have to get done - like packing, confirming airport pickup for me and chary, and getting her import/export permitting all taken care of. But in the meantime, I'm enjoying my vacation here!
