my phone ran out of minutes...so no texting pictures to the internets for me for a bit - am trying to save cash for the move back to the States (thank you Island Thrift for paying me in US dollars!). If you read this regularly, you may notice some changes in the sidebar. yay change!!
"I am not a sweater knitter" is something I was seriously just talking about last night - most sweater patterns I see are nice, but I have never seen one that I just HAD TO MAKE...I'd really rather buy a twenty dollar machine-made sweater that's comfy and fits off the rack than spend the twenty dollars/skein for eight skeins to make the same thing over the course of weeks. I am WAY into knitting socks and scarves and bags and whatnot (partly because I am WAY into fun socks to begin with - and making my own is just teh aw3s0m3!), and I think I'll leave the bigger projects for crocheting (like blankets). I do like the tunisian crochet for messenger bag material - it's a tough fabric that can withstand the daily abuse of being my bag - but I think I'll have to wait until I can get some way bigger tunisian crochet hooks before I try to make anything soft or drapey - the smaller hook sizes make tight stiff fabric only.
the "pages I frequent" list is not comprehensive - but a good example of the styles and types of pages I like to read. I like utilitarian sites that do things for me I really need done (like making ringtones for free and converting books to read on the ipod) and I like fun sites, like ice cream truck music in 8bit and crafty blogs.
