This is an excerpt from an email I sent out earlier. A quick update on the good things to be grateful for. and the bed is AWESOME. :D

"Hey Everybody!

Thanks so much for all the Christmas Cheer that just arrived via USPS!!

Yay for sock yarn and new needles in *ALL* the sizes!!! I am going to make knee socks: toe-up, stripey, contrasting heel AND toe AND cuff. WHEEEEE!!!

Thank you very much for the gift cards!!! Since I've been gone from Reno, the Starbuck's have become absolutely ubiquitous. So I'll have a hot, corporate (but tasty) beverage sometime soon! And thank you for the Target Gift Card, I'm going to buy a winter coat - nothing too fancy, just warm! :) And of course the Jo Ann's Gift Card! Now that I have all that sock yarn, I'm not sure what I'm going to get there! I'll just go and wander the yarn aisle squeezing string until I find something smooshie and fun that I simply must have. :P

Thanks for the >$< too!! It's going to get me a Cricket setup so I'll have unlimited talking and texting with the little unlocked nokia you sent (unless they have some awesome free cameraphone - yeah right), as well as sheets for my new bed (Dakota's dad got him a new bed for Christmas, so I'm taking his old one to the basement), dinner and movies out and about with Tom TY while he's in town, and some savings for a cushion, in case hard times should come along."
